Google Online Assessment
Thank you for responding. I have an initial "phone interview" tomorrow. It's not a technical interview, I guess, she said she just wants to ask me about my "interests and goals" and what it's like to work at Google, but if it goes well she'll schedule a technical interview for me.
I still haven't taken the online test. I meant to take it today, but I've gotten side-tracked by homework and I'm honestly nervous to start it.
Do you have any idea what would be a good resource to prepare for it? They said it is two questions long, 60 minutes, both questions are coding questions and my responses can basically be in any language. If I could rehearse for it I would feel more confident.
Thank you for your response.

I don't know about your situation in particular, but generally speaking, if the email came from a hiring manager or recruiter directly associated with the company, it means your resume was selected for participation in this next round. Chances are some human did review your resume (perhaps briefly).
- eugene.yarovoi February 23, 2015The online assessment will likely first be evaluated by an automated judge that runs test cases against your code. It is possible that a human will review your code later in the process, if they're interested in seeing how elegant your code is.
