Recently I had a Google phone screen. Even though I solved the coding question it was not on their expected level. So I was told, sorry, try again later.

I got two offer from my college , one I got internship as a web developer in bangalore startup( working on web development using ruby on rails , backbone , ajax , etc) and another offer I got accenture as associate software engineer . In our college after getting intern or placement offer in dream companies(whose package is more than 4.5 lakh per annum) are not allowed to sit for further dream companies , Hence I miss many companies like Hp, cisco, samsung , deshaw, cerner, qualcomm,st microelectronics, customer xps, ebay, bank of america, oracle, samsung, ford,Paypal, facebook, success factors,etc....list is very long , may be around 20 companies I missed . As I got intern in wrong company ,they made pressure on me to work for 7 days in a week and they are not giving proper training , they are just exploiting me So i decided to quit my internship ...and hence I have only accenture offer now ..
I am currently looking for job in good companies . As I was preparing hard from last 2 years to get place in good companies but now I am totatly shattered ...After having many achievements (recently I clear facebook hacker cup'2013 quailfication round and round 1)
and also my rank on interviewstreet.com (which is now
hackerrank.com) is 609 global and 154in India .I also got 1st rank in evernote challege conducted by interviewstreet.I also got certification of accomplishment from udacity for completing all challeges in course
cs101 , And am good at networking too , I had done ccna training for all modules under cisco network academy in my university .And also I am ankit fadia certified ethical hacker , Has done several projects on my own in field of inforamtion retrieval and web development. Some startup called me to join them (like hachilab) but after having bad experience in a startup , I have no courage to join them so I am looking for Big Mnc's companies . Currently I am going with accenture intern for 6 months .So I will try offcampus , guy's can any of you tell that When will offcampus starts for freshers in India for Big tech companies.| Flag | PURGE - 0 Answers Applying to the big companies
What's the best way to apply to the big companies? To apply to an individual job req or to somehow apply to the company but not for a specific job req? If so, how is this done? And if you apply to a specific job req and don't get hired, can you still apply for other reqs?
- vmayer99 February 25, 2013| Flag | PURGE - 8 Answers Find First Unique Element
Hi all,
- anup.stackoverflow February 23, 2013
I had this question in interview which I could'nt answer.
You have to find first unique element(integer) in the array.
For example:
3,3,3,2,2,1,4,4,5,6,6,7
Then unique elements are 1, 5, 7 and First unique of 1.
The Solution required:
O(n) Time Complexity.
O(1) Space Complexity.
I tried saying:
Using Hashmaps, Bitvector...but none of them had space complexity o(1).
Can anyone tell me solution with space O(1)?| Flag | PURGE - 0 Answers Adobe intern Forum

The majority of my 11 years of experience is in C++, with some C# and a little Java. Anyway, the environment I work in doesn't stay hip, and thus I've only recently discovered Boost and C++ 11. How important is knowing these modern C++ programming techniques? I feel I should probably try to get smart on them before interviewing but what do you think?

I applied to some companies and unfortunately after phone interview I was rejected.
I know that is preferable re-apply after 6 months / 1 year but what if I apply to the same company but in a different country?

Hi, I've been working professionally for 11 years. I'm curious as to how my interview will be the same or different from a new college grad's? Also, do questions differ depending on whether the candidate got a Master's or beyond? For instance, I don't recall ever learning about Dynamic Programming in my Bachelor's degree education (although I have learned about it on my own since through self-study).

Hi All,
- sanaths81 February 16, 2013
I'll be appearing for Amazon phone interview in the next for the SDE position.
I'm very good at core Java. Though i've included Spring, Hibernate etc. in my Resume; i don't have in depth knowledge on these. Am i expected to prepare every technology i mentioned in my Resume. (We have used them in our project.)
I have read many posts in this forum, they talk only about data structures. Is Core Java and Data Structures good enough for Amazon interview?
Thanks in advance.

I guess you'd want them to know that you want the job badly, but maybe they'll hold you to a higher standard?

Hi,
- harshkumar1 February 12, 2013
I have about 5 years of experience in JAVA and lil bit on C#. While appearing for interviews would it a -ve if i solve the DS / Algorithm questions in C++ rather than JAVA / C#. Just that i am more comfortable solving those kinds of questions in C++.
Not to mentions most of the interviews i appear for are for SDE and the work would not involve me to work on C / C++

Hello everyone,
- Pallani S February 10, 2013
I know this sounds like a crap question. But I have a dilemma. I have two offers for SDE, amazon chennai and Samsung Noida. The compensation offered by amazon is quite better than that of samsung ofcourse.
But myself being a north indian, have a desire to move to north india as I know chennai will be a difficult place for me to adjust. But at the same time, as a company, I would like to join amazon- reasons are obvious.
My question is whether job location should be considered such an important factor or not? I just want opinions from people as it will help me to take my decision. Lot of people will come with an answer "depends on your choice". I know that. I am just seeking an opinion here. Any inputs are appreciated.| Flag | PURGE
