Hi All,

I am planning to join a product company after working many years in service company. Earlier I have prepared for Microsoft, Amazon, Expedia but that was like 3-4 years before.
My question is do these companies hire people at 6-7 years of experience level. Also what is their expectation from a candidate at this experience level. And what annual package am I looking at if I get a job offer at MS/Amazon/Expedia.

You must be very strong in data structures and algorithms and able to solve a puzzle with a program is expected always

In the US you would likely see a package like 130-150k base + some stocks.

You're expected to be solid in coding, design, testing, and algorithmic problem solving.

Thanks a lot for your response gives clear idea of US market but I am looking for such a job in India. Can anyone please give more inputs.

All the product companies you mentioned would look for the same skills as of US since they are US based :). Start and give the first one and try to complete a full loop with any. You would have better idea about what they are expecting (also better chance of cracking the next).
