1. you can restrict a function from throwing any type of exception by declaring a throw specifier with no type
Ex: int myfunction (int param) throw();
2. you can restrict a function to throw a specfic type of exception by declaring a throw specifier with that type type, below it can throw only exception of type int
Ex: int myfunction (int param) throw(int);

this is called exception specification list.
it tells what type of exception the function can throw.
