Bisect the parallel sides, then connect the midpoints forming 2 new trapeziums each half the size of the original. The bases of each are equal and each is the same height. Repeat the procedure for each of the new trapeziums

Cut the parallel sides [each side] into 4 equal parts. Now join the corresponding points so that the line joining them do not cross each other.

As the area of a trapezium is 1/2 * height of trapezium *(Sum of lengths of parallel sides), you can get 4 equal sized trapeziums by having a trapezium each of height h/4.

divide trapezium in two halves by cutting along diagonal.
divide each triangle by cutting along vertex to mid point of parallel line.
