Well as far as I know Magic squares with n as odd or multiples of four have easy methods but even order magic squares are difficult, try Wikipedia for more information on this.

Well there is a method on wolfram math world site, try it.
The explanation is a bit short to understand. I have understood it. If you have any problem comment here and I can probably explain in better terms.
