LOL. How would you test an elephant for it is an elephant? There are trunk, a tail, 2 big ears, 2 tasks, and well it looks like an elephant. Comes in 2 varieties, African and Asian. You see my point? Still no?

Let me explain. An e-mail client is a combination of at least 5 modules.
1. The transmission channel manager - responsible for establishing communication channels between the client and the server.
2. The protocol handler - responsible for parsing and managing different protocols the client equipped with.
3. The editor.
4. File System Handler.
5. Plug-in handler.
5.1. Address Book handler
5.2. Junk Mail handler.
5.3. Dictionary

The point is prioritazation of test case design, If I were to ask how to test an aeroplane , the answer is obvious, its not possible to answer in an hour and you need to mention the same!!
