This was an open ended question and he was quite impressed with my answer and I got the offer so it worked. we discussed the test cases for around more than 1.5 hours while include 15 min of categorizing test cases and he said there is no end to it we could discuss it for whole week... basically they wanna see how broad you can think and never say thats it ... as there will be so so many more test cases

First I will ask is there some limitation for the size of fruit?
Do we need provide the packaged boxes ourselves? Where does the packaged box from? What if the size doesn't match? the box is not big enough to hold the fruit.
For each time, we only package one fruit or a set of fruits?

Do you want me only for functionality tests? or also include compatibility tests, stress tests, usability tests, performance tests?

Normal cases
1. package one fruit - different kinds, with different size
2. package a set of same fruits - different kinds, with different size
3. package a combination of different fruits - with different size

Boundary cases:
1. package zero fruit
2. package a large number of same fruits - just fit in the boxes
3. package a large number of different fruits - just fit in the boxes

Invalid cases:
1. package a large number of same fruits - larger than the boxes
2. package a large number of different fruits - larger than the boxes
