Microsoft Interview Question for Software Engineer in Tests

say we have 4 lanes meeting at the junction of the traffic...now lets have 4 ppl with 4 cars with these 4 ppl
1st car- bill gates
2nd car- warren buffet
3rd car- laxmi mittal
4th car- george bush

now if all these ppl are able to cross the signal easily without screaming over others then we can say ,these guys vouch for the proper functionality of the whole traffic system not just one traffic light...else u can guess for the other part of the anser...

1. Functionality wrt Day light
Can you see and distinguish red/yellow/green signals during morning/ evening/ night/ sunny / raining/ cloudy/ fog/ mist

2. Emergency
Can medical/fire prevention teams signal to traffic light system to change the sign

3. Pedestrian/ Bikes
What is the response to pedestrian and bike users request- whats the time taken ?

4. At an intersection - is it synchronized with respect to the trafic flow

5. Basic functionality
Green - Yellow - Red - Green
Time intervals

Fail stop : in case of any failure all lights should turn red and not green
