== compares the reference value of two objects.
Equals is a member function in Object class. Overridden equals() usually compare the content of two objects, like in String. However, the default equals() in Object is ==.

== is a binary operator whereas Equals() is a function which takes 2 arguments.

== compares the addresses of 2 objects while equals() compares the "contents" of 2 objects

Equals and== are quite different.

== means both share the same reference to memory,Identity the same object.
While equals means the contents are the same,but may still two different objects.
