The answer is 18 pizzas because the days don't get reduced. These teenagers are some slow ass eaters. Like who takes a day and a half to eat 1 pizza. I can gobble that down in 30 minutes

David is correct! 9/1.5 =6 teenagers. Multiply pizza & days with 6 which comes to 9. But time is 3 days which is double so double days & pizza. So the correct answer is 18.

Answer with Detailed Explanation:
Problem says 1. 5 people eat 1.5 Pizzas in 1.5 days
In 3 days, how many pizzas can 9 people eat?
Solution:
For every (additional) 1.5 people that attend this party, consider 1.5 additional pizzas gone.

``1.5ppl =1.5 pizza``

+

``1.5ppl =1.5 pizza``

+

``1.5ppl =1.5 pizza``

+

``1.5ppl =1.5 pizza``

+

``1.5ppl =1.5 pizza``

+

``1.5ppl =1.5 pizza``

So after 9 people eat with no one being greedy lol and going for seconds, 9 pizzas will be gone in the first 1.5 days
If the same 9 people come back again after 1.5 days and repeat, 9 additional pizzas will be gone in another 1.5 days.
Therefore, 9 people would have eaten 18 pizzas at the end of 3 days.

if 1.5 teens can eat 1.5 pizza in 1.5 days ...
then 1 teen can eat 1 pizza in 1 day
if there are 9 teens, who each can eat 1 pizza daily then would be 27 pizza's consumed in 3days

The correct way to work out questions like this is to work out the RATE.
In this case, the rate of consumption is 1.5 teens = 1.5 pizzas / 1.5 days
1.5 teens = 1 pizza/day
1 teen = 0.67 pizza/day
rate for 9 teens = 6 pizza/day = 18 pizzas/3 days

A teen = 1.5
A day = 1.5
9 teenages / by a teen (1.5) = 6 teenagers

6 teenagers eat 1.5 pizza each = (6 * 1.5) = a total of 9 pizza in a day
finally,
the 9 pizza * (3/1.5days) 2 days = 18 pizza

Not 27, Not 9 not any other number
