This is a quadratic equation, so it has two roots (not just one).

It is equal to x^2 -10x + 1 = 0

Delta is sqrt(100 - 4*1*1) ~= 9.80

and the roots are (10+9.8)/2 and (10-9.8)/2 (9.9 and 0.1)

Make a quadratic equation and then solve using simple discriminant calculation etc. Sounds like an elementary problem.
