All the pointers corresponding to nodes can be stored in an array. On every traversal compare new_node->next to the pointers(addresses) in the array. When the pointer(address) matches the index of the array will the node corresponding to the connecting point

1) Create a map of Node address and node number.
2) Get a node from list check if its next address is in the map. If not found insert the pair into the map.
3) If found then that becomes your connecting point.

Time Complexity : o(nlogn),Space Complexity : n
