I think HR will offer the position after completed the interview if selected.

It happens. I emailed HR after two weeks of my second telephonic and she called me next minute to fix my third telephonic interview..

So you had to wait for about a week after your 3rd phone interview to know that you are selected? I heard from my friends that they usually give the positive news in one or two days.. Is this true?

In my case, they responded in 2 days for my 1st and 2nd telephonic interview. But they haven't replied me after onsite interview. They should at least respond that they need time or not selected or selected but processing etc. Its just irritating to just wait for outcome.
