You could do this with a class for Server with a list of Applications. Since you want an optimized way of retrieving based on attribute name, one should maintain a hash of attribute name and which applications are present with that attribute name. Then it's a matter of iterating through that list to find the ones with the correct state. The hash should hold the attribute name as a key and the index of the application in the Applications array as a list of values.
