regarding google recruitment

hi. i want to gather info regarding how can i get into google ? rght now its very early for me as i have just 2.5 yrs of experience with infosys. but i want to gear up from now. basically i am looking for info like wat kind of profile one need to have to fetch a call from google. I have been working on java platform and i m from non CS background.is it like only CS people get there. kindly put some light .thanks.

well its nothin like u have to be from cs background....
u shud jus have good projects in ur hand....ofcourse ur knowledge will tested...

Hi Deepa,

To get into Google, you will need good hold on data structures and algorithms. The language you are working in is not that important.

The overwhelming majority in Google is of CS grads but that should not discourage you. After all it is what we learn that matters. So you should start studying and actually write code and practice. Take part in online coding contests like TopCoder and try to solve problems in Euler Project.

can anyone plz suggest some good basic books on algos.
