Hi,
I did my graduation from one of the top IIIT's in comp science. And I have 2 years of experience in Java in a top product based company. I have a CGPA >9 and I have very good algorithmic skills.

Now I want to get into companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook .. or companies like that. I have applied in the career portals of those companies, but no use. I hardly get any calls.

What should be my approach to apply in such companies? How to apply, so that I get an Interview call at least?

Your replies will be very helpful for my career!.

Honestly, I am in a similar phase. I am in my final year at a IIIT too, I already have a placement offer from a pretty good company but yes for me its not my dream company. Even I am in that phase of applying to companies off campus and I know I am hardly going to get any calls back. I think your best bet is either to try and participate in interviewstreet competitions and solve their questions to get a call or to ask your friends to refer you. Its really hard to get a call by applying on the job portals of these companies.

If you have good grades in a top school, I don't see why you don't get an interview call.

Maybe you need to work on your CV to stand out your qualities in an objective way (and quantitative if possible).
Do you have any relevant extra-curricular activities related to CS or software engineering?
