NVIDIA Interview Question
Software Engineer / Developersnot knowing terms and gently discussing something is far better a trait of someone in comp sci that a some ruthless arrogant person ridiculing the knowledge of others..
Well, BLUNT just uttered a few slangs and left the thread w/o doing anything useful for others...
Here's the answer -
Memory Mapped I/O means using the memory addressing to interface with the peripherals, while I/O mapped I/O (also called Port mapped I/O) means using 8-bit port addresses to interface the peripherals.
I guess blunt went so blunt being in Comp sc. field that he had no edge on having a real life, poor frustrated as**ole, i just hope he didn't suicide after posting here.

Many books and on internet too "i/o mapped i/o" is mentioned,any one can get wrong info and build concept on that,if he didnt get right way to start wid; the best thing in a discussion forum should be to correct if someone is going in wrong way.

CUNOMAD: these questions are firstly extremely badly phrased and i cant believe nvidia of all places asked such questions! i mean what does 'input mapped i/o' even mean?
