we need need to check whether label are correctly printed. If yes, report this to third party with repro and ask them to fix the problem .

I guess it would make more sense to re-callibrate the reader to see if it is a linear error while waiting for the 3rd party to respond

you should not guess. since you are the new comer. it is the time to show your team work. report to your lead and ask the senior member in your team first.

Need to identify, is the reader misclassifying for the particular labels or all the labels in a web page. if it is happening only for particular labels then it is an issue with labels.
Verify the content in label is spelled out correctly.
Verify the localization testing. The text placed in labels is in the language of reader.
