Equals is used when you have to compare the object and the actual value of the object.
This has to be done by the classes.
'==' compares the object references and not the actual object.

equals compares characters in a String object
== compares the references.

String a = new String("Computer");
String b = new String (a);

a.equals(b) gives true
a == b gives false.
