Which company? Smells like homework, to be honest.

Then your sense of smell is off. This problem is thoroughly spoiled, and there's not much point pedagogically when teaching dynamic programming to ask for data structure support to improve the running time.

LOL! The fact that there is no company supplied, plus that fact that it is a common homework question (no matter how 'spoiled') gives off a certain smell.

You are free to ignore it, but this site is for interview questions only and having some random folks posting questions which they happen to come across, which are not job interview questions, should be discouraged.

So that means you found it somewhere. Was this asked in a job interview? And if so, which company? Also, this probably already exists on the site. Try searching...

@eepiyush : Hey annoying asshole, what's ur problem? Why u spam CC with shits? I've seen u before posting previously SOLVED problems. If u can't grasp a solution, it's ur LIMITATION. Then go to stackoverflow, and open an account to ask whatever questions popped up in ur cranky head!

On CC, ppl like to see REAL interview questions - which are usually interesting and thought provoking. The solution to ur question is available online, if u know how to search on Google. When u r too lazy to get existing solution, no one would come forward spoon feeding a stupid man like u. So, get away from careercup, and stop posting irritating questions (which inclined just to spam this forum).
